By 1978 later Tucson Gay-Lesbian organizations held
their own styles of annual Pride versions organized first into
'Gay Pride Picnics' aka Festivals along the lines of other
states and cities such as Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco,
San Diego, and New York City
Tucson Pride Archives collections document
the many later
successive organizations & their events shaped as much by those
relocating to Tucson,
Arizona as they were by the changing times and events unfolding
in Tucson and around the United States

To Step Back Into 1990's Tucson's LGBTQ+ Pride
Documented and preserved are those very
simple early beginnings
in Spring of the 1920s continuing
comprehensively up to the era of the 2020's as large
scale costly organized more commercialized and costly government
purchased local permits affected annual Gay Lesbian LGBTQ+ Pride events in
Tucson, Arizona since being changed in the 1990s annually to the
Fall of each year
The event was
not able to be held due to early 2020 health related
shutdowns - concerns during the COVID Pandemics in the United
States and Tucson, Arizona
In 2025 The Tucson Pride,
LLC. Organization missed holding the annual 2025 Tucson Pride
Parade & Tucson Pride Festival. This While Carrying A Large Debt
Load Amid Many Other Local Organizations Then In Tucson All
Competing For Parade & Event Locations And Permits Far In
Advance Of Their Events Being Held
